Our Philosophy
We measure success by the lives we touch...
At Twin Lakes Camp, Inc. we value “CHILDREN”, as the pilots of all our futures. We evaluate everything we do based on these simple guiding principles.
- “C” stands for Care. We show every camper that we care about them and their well being in all respects, showing it in everything we say and do.
- “H” stands for Honor. We honor the camper for who they are and where they come from acknowledging the differences in their circumstances and cultural background.
- “I” stands for Interaction. We strive to make every interaction a caring, learning, meaningful, growth experience that guides the camper in the right direction and enriches their lives.
- “L” stands for Learning. The daily experiences of a camper are designed with the purpose of teaching the necessary social skills to increase self-esteem, become self-reliant and conduct themselves in a socially accepted manner.
- “D” stands for Doing. Every camper is encouraged to reach beyond. To strive to do better than the last time. That by simply doing, one can accomplish amazing things.
- “R” stands for Respect. We as humans have a responsibility to respect each other and our surroundings. In developing this respect, we hope to develop tolerance and understanding for those things we encounter daily.
- “E” stands for Enrich. Every day is an enriching experience. Whether you are teaching, helping or bringing a smile to a campers face, we all strive to enrich the life of every camper.
- “N” stands for Nurture. We are charged with the responsibility to nurture every camper individually and as a member of society. Through our nurturing we hope to bring joy and develop tolerant, self-reliant contributing citizens.
