Camp sessions are a chance for Children with Special Needs to interact and enjoy a summer camp experience with other "Special Needs" Children. We encourage personal growth and a spirit of "Can Do". We find that through peer participation and an encouraging atmosphere our campers develop a self reliant attitude. We provide motivational programs on subjects of Self-Esteem, Self-reliance and Self-advocacy. Our Speaker is World renowned Brett Eastburn.

Rodgers CabinOur campers enjoy bunk house accommodations with up to 30 campers per cabin.  Bunk beds and foot-lockers are the decor.  Each cabin has in unit toilets and showers that can accommodate 12 campers at once. Counselor quarters are attached to cabins for camper safety and supervision.

There are many activities that occupy the campers day. Campers rise at 7:00am and prepare for the day with good hygiene and assistance from their counselor, (A one to one ratio of counselors to campers in most cases) Then off to the Alumni hall for a nutritious breakfast.

The Mornings are filled with arts and crafts, sports or programs in Indian Lore, Nature Study's or cultural exchange. We have visiting Artists, Speakers, civil servants, animal trainers and performers. Multiple activities are planned for every morning and afternoon.

Noon brings a delicious lunch provided by TLC's kitchen staff. Favorite foods are prepared as well as many camp dishes with fun and nutrition as our goal. Sometimes the campers get involved in special preparations.

The afternoon brings a 1 hour required rest period to recharge batteries. The plans for the balance of the afternoon might include arts and crafts, swimming, horseback riding, sports, field trips to the zoo, county fair, bowling, visits from local fire and sheriff departments and a multitude of activities.

After a theme dinner the evening Plans may include singing around a campfire, dance, movie night, fireworks, board games or bingo. A wide variety of activities are planned for each age group.

All of our activities are designed to lift the spirits of the campers and educate them to the power of self determination and the belief that anything is possible with the right mindset. We show them we care and they are important
